2009 PROFESSIONAL PROJECT

Not Too Early, Never Too Late

Not Too Early, Never Too Late (No Es Muy Temprano,Nunca Es Muy Tarde) presses upon Spanish and English speaking parents the importance of getting involved in their children's lives to keep them from joining gangs and provide resources to help them identity signs of involvement in their children. The video gives them the tools and resources that contribute to changing their children's and their own lives thereby advancing self-sufficiency for entire communities by keeping children in school, off the streets, away from drugs and in healthy relationships. It promotes understanding by providing first hand stories of those who have been involved in gangs to audiences who might never have understood the real challenges youth and their families face everyday in gang neighborhoods.

The video is narrated by actor and humanitarian, Jose Yenque, and produced with a grant from San Diego County Board of Supervisors Reinvestment Funds. Partners for this project include San Diego County Office of Education, City of Vista and Mano a Mano Foundation.
